Market Animal Committee

The sale order for 2026 will be: Cheese Baskets, Goats, Goat Carcass, Turkeys, Turkey Carcass, Chickens, Chicken Carcass, Ducks, Duck Carcass, Rabbits, Hogs, Hog Carcass, Lambs, Lamb Carcass, Dairy Beef Feeders, Beef Steers, Beef Carcass, Dairy Steers, Dairy Steer Carcass, Beef Feeders. All carcasses will be standard cut, with the exception of Beef Steers and Dairy Steers. All live animals purchased must be processed at an approved MAC processor and will be processed in a cut of your choosing.

We have added a Poultry Carcass show this year with members being able to bring a pen of chickens, ducks, or turkeys. Also new this year, we will be selling the Top Ten Carcasses from each species. Carcass animals sell following the live animals. Again, this year we will be selling the Outstanding Market Project first, followed by the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion animals in each species. You will also see mention of the Breeders Own award winner, which is awarded to the top animal in each species that was born on the exhibitors’ farm, and the County Pride award winner, which is awarded to the top animal in each species that was born and raised in Ashtabula County.

We encourage you to visit the barns throughout the week and just prior to the start of the sale to meet with the youth and learn more about their projects.

For information or to be added to our buyer’s letter list, please reach out the Market Animal Committee through our email, mac@ashtabulafair.com.
