The Market Animal Committee works diligently each and every year to promote the market animal projects of the Ashtabula County youth. The many volunteers that work on the committee work to educate the youth on all aspects of raising, showing, and marketing their livestock projects. Members of the committee also work to showcase and promote market projects to the general public through activities such as the Discover 4-H event, Animal Project Meet and Greet event, and displays during the Ashtabula County Fair. The committee members continuously work to make improvements to the market animal barns and areas of the fair through money raised at our annual Market Animal Reverse Raffle every January.
Committee members organize and run the market animal shows during fair week. These shows allow the youth to showcase all the knowledge and skills they have obtained while raising and working with these projects. Committee members also work to promote and conduct the Market Animal Sale, providing a rewarding and enjoyable experience for buyers and youth alike.
The Market Animal Committee invites you to attend the various market animal shows throughout the week and meet our great, hardworking youth. We then invite you to attend the Market Animal Sale on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Show Arena to purchase some home-grown, high-quality livestock.
We thank you for your continued support of the Market Animal Program of Ashtabula County and look forward to seeing you at the fair!
