2. Note new check-in times: Sunday, August 5, 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Monday, August 6, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
3. Halter classes will show Tuesday, August 7, at 9:00 a.m. starting with 4-H classes in show ring east of Draft
Horse Barn. Haflingers first, then Percherons, Clydesdales, Shires and Belgians thru all divisions.
4. Hitch classes 1 - 9 will show Wednesday, August 8, at 12 noon and Hitch classes 10 - 17 will show Thursday,
August 9, at 10:00 a.m. in show ring west of Horse Barns. Farm Hitch classes will show Friday, August 10,
at 9:00 a.m. in the show ring east of the Horse Barns.
5. Ages determined from January 1.
6. All stallions one year or over must have registration papers.
7. All horses in state must have a health certificate made within 30 days. All horses out of state must have health
certificate within 30 days and Coggins test within 12 months. All horses must be checked by fair veterinarian
or representative before unloading.
8. No unworthy exhibit shall receive premium.
9. Where there is no competition only first and second premiums will be awarded.
10. A suckling colt is one foaled after January 1, 2007.
11. Exhibitor may borrow animals for Get of Sire and Produce of Dam classes. Also wagons, carts and harness may
be borrowed for hitch classes.
12. Riding or driving of horses in parking lots will not be permitted. Horses allowed in designated areas only.
13. Box stalls are for mare & colt or stallions only.
14. NOTICE: CHANGE IN FORMAT. All breed classifications will be shown in each division before moving to
next division. Example: Haflingers, Percherons, Clydesdales, Shires and Belgians will compete in their own
breed in Division 1, Stallion - 4 years & over, before moving on to Division 2, Stallion -3 years & under 4 years.

Must be draft type animals and shown in draft type harness.
Exhibitor must enter halter class to be eligible to enter hitch class.
Mares, geldings and stallions are eligible for all hitch classes.
In all hitch classes, horse or horses shall be shown hitched to a suitable vehicle.
Purebred or grades may be made up of horses owned by one or more exhibitor.
Driver and one (1) assistant on cart or wagon while in a show ring.
Driver's name must be registered one hour prior to entering the ring.
All entries shall be ready well in advance of class time to avoid delays when last call made -- a limit of 5 minutes.
Time limits will be enforced.
Hitches not ready when class is called will not be allowed to show.
The hitch classes will be judged on quality, performance and ease of handling.
There will be saddle horse classes in between Draft Horse Hitch Classes.
Haflingers will have their own class, if enough participation. |
