DEPARTMENT 11 - CANNED GOODS

 ENTRY DEADLINE - AUGUST 3

 1. Items must be in by 5:30 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2010.  Judging will begin at 6:00 p.m.
 2. All entries must be packed by the exhibitor within the past year and never before
     exhibited at this fair.   
 3. Extension Food and Nutrition Specialists stress the importance of properly canned
     foods. Approved methods are the hot water bath and the pressure canner.  All entries
     must be processed by the appropriate method.
 4. Entries will consist of 1/2 pint, pint or quart standard canning jars with new standard 
     lids.
 5. All exhibits must remain until 9:00 a.m., Monday, August 16, 2010 and be removed by
     noon.
                                       No decorative lids, with the exception of Gift Pack.
